Volunteers are an invaluable resource at Mercy Medical Center. By sharing one’s time, talents, wisdom and knowledge; volunteers make a difference for our patients, guests and employees.

Nearly 200 volunteers play a major role in the delivery of care at Mercy. Volunteers have donated over 30,000 hours of service annually.

No Experience Necessary

New to the area, looking to make a contribution or just wanting to meet new people, Mercy is the place to be. Mercy has a variety of volunteer opportunities including patient care areas, transportation, hospitality, medical alert systems, office/clerical and the Gift Shop. Most volunteer services are performed once a week in four hour shifts during the daytime and evening hours. Weekends are also available.

As part of Mercy’s commitment, every volunteer receives a general orientation, and on-the-job training. We make every effort to match your skills, abilities and interests to an appropriate service. We have service descriptions so our volunteers will know ahead of time what their role will be.

Volunteering not only benefits patients, guest and employees, it benefits our volunteers. At Mercy, volunteers build lasting friendships, increase self worth and have fun.
